Nutrition FAQS

If you’re new to health coaching, it’s completely normal to have questions. Here are some of the ones I’m most often asked.

What is nutrition and health coaching?

Nutrition and health coaching is a personalised, supportive way to improve your health over time.
It’s not about strict plans or quick fixes. Instead, we focus on small, realistic changes to your everyday habits around food, movement, sleep and stress.

Together, we look at what’s going on in your life and what matters to you, then build an approach that feels manageable and sustainable.

Over time, these small changes add up, helping you feel more in control of your health and more confident in how you look after yourself.

Is coaching personalised?

Yes, completely.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Everything we do is shaped around your lifestyle, preferences and goals. This means the changes you make are realistic for your life — and much more likely to last.

Do I need to be motivated to start?

No, you don’t need to feel fully motivated, but you do need to be ready to make a change to your health. Part of my role is to support you in building habits into your everyday so things feel manageable and sustainable over time.

Will I be given a meal plan or strict programme?

No. This is not me telling you to follow a strict plan. Instead, I support and guide you to build a way of eating that works for your life, preferences and routine.

That means making realistic changes you can maintain, rather than being told exactly what to do or following something rigid or short-term.

What if I’ve tried lots of things before?

You’re not alone – many people I work with have tried different diets, plans or routines that haven’t lasted. This approach is different because it focuses on consistency, not intensity, and is tailored to your life. We take things one step at a time, so changes feel realistic and achievable.

How quickly will I see results?

This approach focuses on long-term, sustainable change rather than quick fixes. Building lasting habits takes time, consistency and commitment, but that’s what creates meaningful change.

Some people notice early improvements in things like energy, sleep or how consistent they feel. Over time, these small changes build into habits that continue to support your health well beyond coaching.

Can I work with you if I have an existing health condition?

In many cases, yes. Health coaching can work alongside the care you’re already receiving and support you to build healthier habits day to day.

If you have a medical condition, it’s always best to check with your GP or healthcare professional before starting.

What’s the difference between a Health Coach and a Nutritional Therapist?

A Nutritional Therapist is qualified to assess, diagnose and may use testing to guide recommendations.

As a Health & Nutrition Coach, my role is different. I focus on supporting you to make sustainable changes to your habits and lifestyle – helping you stay consistent and apply what you already know in a way that works for your life.

How do I know if this is right for me?

Health coaching could be a good fit if:
  • You feel stuck between knowing what to do and actually doing it
  • You’re tired of quick fixes that don’t last
  • You want a more sustainable approach to your health
  • You’d value support, rather than trying to do it alone

What’s the first step?

The best place to start is a free, no-pressure discovery call. We’ll talk about where you are, what you’re finding challenging, and whether this feels like the right support for you.

Book your free discovery call

I offer a free discovery call so we can talk about where you are, what you need and whether this feels like the right support for you.

You don’t need to do this perfectly… you just need to start somewhere.
